Who we are

The Carlos Pérez Guante Foundation (CAPEGU) is a non-profit organization established in 2011, committed to the human, social, and economic development of communities across the Dominican Republic. Since its founding, the institution has worked continuously to train young people, women, and adults through technical training programs, supported by institutions such as the Ministry of Education, INFOTEP, and others, contributing to the development of job skills, entrepreneurship, and stronger productive capacities.

The foundation was created in response to the need for real growth opportunities for people in vulnerable situations, providing access to quality training that helps them improve their living conditions, join the workforce, and develop sustainable self-employment initiatives.
Headquartered in the province of San Pedro de Macorís,

CAPEGU has established itself as an organization recognized for its social commitment, carrying out initiatives aimed at promoting inclusion, education for employment, community development, and the creation of opportunities for traditionally excluded groups.
The institution maintains a vision of continuous growth based on excellence, transparency, innovation, and collaborative work with public agencies, private companies, educational institutions, and civil society organizations.

MISSION

To contribute to the full development of individuals through technical training, personal development, entrepreneurship, and workforce skill-building programs that improve employability, foster sustainable income generation, and promote social inclusion.

CAPEGU develops initiatives aimed at strengthening the individual and collective capacities of participants, providing them with tools to face today's economic and social challenges.

The institution promotes well-rounded education grounded in values, social responsibility, leadership, and community participation, driving the personal and professional growth of every beneficiary.

VISION

To be a leading national institution in technical education, community development, and the promotion of opportunities for vulnerable populations, recognized for generating a positive and lasting impact on people's quality of life and on strengthening the social fabric of communities.

The foundation aims to expand its territorial reach and continuously strengthen its programs to respond to labor market demands and the population's development needs, actively contributing to the economic and social progress of the Dominican Republic.
